DAVID HURWITZ

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

David A. Hurwitz has established himself as one of alternative television’s most sought-after showrunners with a diverse slate and background that includes live variety shows, talk shows, game shows and revolutionary stunt competition series.

Hurwitz has been part of such groundbreaking series as “The Arsenio Hall Show,” Comedy Central’s “The Man Show,” “Fear Factor,” Nickelodeon’s “Brain Surge” and “Ellen’s Game of Games,” to name a few.

The Emmy-nominated creator has earned a reputation as a great storyteller and format developer known for executing the spectacular and putting ordinary people in extraordinary situations on mega shows like “Fear Factor,” “American Gladiators” and “Star Earn Stripes.” Never afraid to take big swings, he was entrusted with some of NBC’s biggest and most innovative launches such as “Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris” and “The Million Second Quiz” with Ryan Seacrest, the first ever show of its kind that allowed viewers to participate live in real time via a smart phone app.

The pandemic didn’t slow Hurwitz down as he debuted the hit YouTube series with beauty influencer James Charles entitled “Instant Influencer,” which set records for YouTube Originals, collecting over 20 million views per episode. No stranger to innovative projects, 2020 also found him launching the first of its kind gamer-competition series, “Chasing the Crown” for Amazon’s Twitch platform.

Season two of “Pictionary” begins airing in September of 2023, which Hurwitz is producing under his shingle, Bill’s Market & Television Productions. Hurwitz continues to develop with a variety of partners and production companies across all media platforms.
