Pittsburgh, Pa. – September 8, 2025 – In an exclusive interview airing tonight, INSIDE EDITION speaks with Kavan Markwood, the fan who fell 21 feet from the outfield stands during a Pittsburgh Pirates game this past April. The fall left him with life-threatening injuries, including a broken back, neck, and fractured ribs. Markwood returns to PNC Park for the first time with INSIDE EDITION to reflect on the harrowing incident and shares the challenges and triumphs of his recovery.

“I don’t know how I’m alive,” Markwood told INSIDE EDITION. “I wake up with pain every day. Still got my arm, I can't feel my two fingers still…”
