New York, NY — February 2, 2016 – There have been a rash of incidents at Chuck E Cheese’s restaurants across the country over the last few years, where kids parties turn into battlegrounds, and it’s the adults who are behaving badly. Although Chuck E Cheese’s restaurants cater to young children, you may be surprised that many locations serve alcohol to the adults.

The restaurant chain has a policy of serving only two alcoholic beverages per adult, so INSIDE EDITION decided to test out the policy. The program went to three Chuck E Cheese’s locations in Long Island, N.Y.

Although the policy allows only two drinks per adult, INSIDE EDITION’s producer had no problem ordering four glasses of wine at one restaurant.

The next day, INSIDE EDITION’s Lisa Guerrero went to a different location 20 miles away to attend a children’s birthday party. After Guerrero ordered two beers, she asked for two more drinks and was actually told how to get around the restaurant’s two drink limit. The server told Guerrero that if she gave the server someone else’s ID, she would be able to order two more drinks.

When Guerrero told the manager that about what happened, she told Guerrero to call the corporate office.

In a statement, Chuck E Cheese’s Entertainment told INSIDE EDITION that they take their alcohol policy very seriously and, “After a full investigation, we determined that employees failed to follow our alcohol service procedure. As a result, their employment has been terminated.” They added that “maintaining a safe experience” for children and their families is of “utmost importance to them.”
