New York, NY – Dec. 5 – INSIDE EDITION speaks exclusively with Jodie Foster’s father, Lucius Fisher Foster.  

Foster, 89, is now on trial, facing more than 20 years in prison for an alleged housing scam.  

INSIDE EDITION asks Foster how his famous Oscar winning daughter is reacting to the charges against him.

FOSTER:  “Jodie is a very wonderful person. She’ll handle it.”

Foster tells INSIDE EDITION he did not steal investors’ money, painting himself as a victim of the bad economy. But he admits the trial is not going well for him.

FOSTER: “It’s going lousy in there but I’ll keep trying…I’ve never been to jail.   This is my first time.   What’s the food like in there?”

INSIDE EDITION asks Foster when he last saw Jodie.

FOSTER: “It’s been a long time. My family and I are very divided right now.”
