New York, NY — February 6, 2016 – In an exclusive airing on Monday, INSIDE EDITION catches up with Nadya Suleman, the woman who earned the nickname Octomom in the media, after she gave birth to octuplets in 2009. Suleman now goes by the name Natalie and lives with the octuplets and her six older children in a small three bedroom town home outside of Los Angeles. 

The eight kids just turned eight-years-old and INSIDE EDITION joined a special birthday party at a kid’s gym that had them jumping for joy. The children are vegan, so they feasted on pizza without cheese, vegetables, and vegan chocolate birthday cake at the party.  

Suleman made headlines for doing a nude photo shoot and releasing a sex tape to make money to support her kids, but she told INSIDE EDITION that four years ago, she got her life together and ditched the Octomom persona to put her health and family first.

“I never coined the term Octomom. Octomom was created by the media. They made it up without my permission, but I took accountability out of desperation and scarcity to provide for my family,” Suleman said. “Shamefully, I embarrassed the character. Shamefully being the operative word because I abandoned my own identity,” she added.

Suleman went on to tell INSIDE EDITION about life today for the family of fifteen, which is centered around chaotic mornings getting ready for school, budgets, chores, and driving her brood around town in a big, white van.
