New York, NY — March 19, 2015 – INSIDE EDITION’s Diane McInerney speaks with Judge Susan Criss, who presided at Robert Durst’s murder trial for shooting and dismembering his neighbor in Galveston, Texas, in 2003. Durst was found not guilty on the murder charge.
Judge Criss tells INSIDE EDITION that shortly after Durst was acquitted, she found the head of a cat on her doorstep.
CRISS: “This was perfectly clean and preserved cat head, cut up by someone who knew what they were doing, lying right there. I strongly believe that it was Robert Durst.”
Judge Criss goes on to say that she believes Durst also dismembered his dogs.
CRISS: “He had seven dogs. They were all named Igor and they came to some unnatural deaths. Some very bizarre, unnatural deaths.”
Judge Criss tells INSIDE EDITION that “Igor” was Durst’s code word for murder.
CRISS: “He practiced on those dogs and that’s where he got some of those skills at cutting people up...I believe Robert Durst is a serial killer.”
