New York, NY — November 17, 2014 — Inside Edition exclusively speaks with Joan Tarshis, the latest woman to come forward with allegations that Bill Cosby drugged and raped her.

On Sunday Tarshis, a journalist and music industry publicist, claimed that Cosby slipped something in her drink in 1969 when she was a 19-year-old aspiring actress. She describes the incident to Inside Edition.

Tarshis:  “I started getting very, very drugged. So much so that I couldn’t stand up and that’s all I remember until the next morning when I woke up naked in bed next to him.”

Tarshis tells Inside Edition that she didn’t tell anyone about the incident in fear that no one would believe her.

Tarshis: “He’s too powerful. How can you stop him? I’m just a little person. What am I going to say? ‘He raped me?’ Who is going to believe that?”

She goes on to say that the other women who have come forward have inspired her to speak out.

Tarshis: “The more women who speak out about him will realize that he’s a serial rapist and hopefully get him to stop.”

Tarshis tells Inside Edition that she has this message for Bill Cosby.

Tarshis: “Get some help. Don’t go to your grave with this. Admit you were wrong, but mostly get some help for yourself. He’s a very, very, very sick man.”

Bill Cosby has never been formally charged with sexual assault of any woman and has denied ever acting inappropriately.
