EX-HUSBAND OF CHEATING BENGALS CHEERLEADER GIVES EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW TO ‘INSIDE EDITION’

NEW YORK CITY – October 15, 2012 – Nathan Wilburn, whose Cincinnati Bengals’ cheerleading wife had an affair with her underage student while she was a high school teacher, talks exclusively to INSIDE EDITION about his humiliation and betrayal.

Sarah Jones, Wilburn’s now ex-wife, made headlines last week when she left her court hearing hand-in-hand with the student with whom she allegedly cheated.

INSIDE EDITION: “How did it feel when you saw your ex-wife holding hands with this guy?”

WILBURN: “I couldn’t believe it. It was like a kick in the stomach. It seemed like she was flaunting this relationship just to hurt me.”

Wilburn reveals how he almost called their wedding off, just one week before their July 2011 nuptials, because of his suspicions about his then-fiancée’s infidelity. The couple, who had been together for nine years, separated just six weeks after marrying.

He also expresses fury at his ex-wife’s sentence. Due to a plea deal, Jones will only serve five years probation and no jail time.

INSIDE EDITION: “What do you think about that sentence?”

WILBURN: “It’s not just. She’s getting off scot-free, if you ask me.”

While he admitted he was consumed with hate and anger at first, now Wilburn says he is just hurt by the entire situation. He does, however, have some words of wisdom for Jones’ teenage beau:

WILBURN: “I would advise him not to marry her. He might think he’s special now, but she might do the same thing to him that she did to me.”

Wilburn, who is currently single, has some trepidation about starting a new relationship.

WILBURN: “I don’t know how I’m going to be able to trust anyone after this…You may think you know someone, but you really don’t.”
