“It broke my heart.” – Robert Helm

 – To broadcast nationally on Thursday, June 21 –

New York, New York – June 21st In an exclusive interview, INSIDE EDITION speaks with Robert Helm, whose son Wesley was one of the boys who allegedly bullied NY bus monitor Karen Klein to the point of tears on that now infamous school bus video.

HELM: “I think it’s a terrible thing. It was honestly very hard to watch that and even tougher as a father to see your child treat someone like that. It broke my heart.”

Helm tells INSIDE EDITION that he plans to get professional help for his son.

HELM: “It’s not just going to stop at you’re grounded, you don’t get to watch TV. This is much bigger than that. We need to get professional help to get to the bottom of the issue of the bullying, of what caused him to treat anybody this way.”

Helm tells INSIDE EDITION his son cried and was very remorseful, not just because he got caught but because he feels bad about what he did.

HELM: “I would say I’m sorry. This is not the way I raised my kids. I never would in my wildest dreams think they were capable of this.”
