-- Rachelle Spector Denies Being a Golddigger --

To Be Broadcast: Tuesday, June 2, 2009

New York, NY - June 2, 2009 - INSIDE EDITION spoke exclusively with Phil Spector's wife, Rachelle, 28, who maintains that her husband is innocent in the shooting death of Lana Clarkson. He was found guilty and sentenced 19-years to life.

Spector tells INSIDE EDITION she is worried about not being able to take care of her husband during his prison sentence.

Rachelle Spector:  "He's {Phil} like a little boy...He's locked up in a five by nine cell...He's caged like an animal.  They treat you worse than a human being."

Spector denied reports that her husband was Twittering from jail, and states that he has very limited contact with the outside.

Rachelle Spector: "He gets about 15 minutes a day to make a phone call.  I only get two 30-minute visits a week."

She also denies reports that she married Phil Spector, 69, for his money.

Rachelle Spector:  "Before we were even married, I knew the gold digger thing was going to come up.  I handle and run all of his businesses.  I'm like his protector."

She tells INSIDE EDITION that she plans to stay with her husband because she loves him, adding, "I love his hair.  I love all of his hairstyles."
