INSIDE EDITIONS DETAILS OF THE OBAMAS FIRST DATE NIGHT AS THE FIRST COUPLE

To Be Broadcast: Monday, May 4, 2009

New York, NY - May 4, 2009 - INSIDE EDITION takes a look at the President and First Lady on their first date night since being in the White House.  The couple enjoyed an intimate dinner at the posh Georgetown restaurant, Citronelle.

A relaxed-looking Obama sported a suit with no tie - and always the fashionable First Lady paired a crisp white blouse with a long tie in the back and black capri pants for the romantic date.

Despite crowds of curious onlookers, the restaurant staff was able to find some privacy for the First Couple.

They sat in a private dining room, and before the dinner, the First Lady ordered a round of vodka martinis with olives.

INSIDE EDITION got a look at the delicious French meal prepared for the Obamas by one of Washington's most renowned chefs, Michel Richard.

Obama dined on salad nicoise and braised short ribs, a house specialty.  The First Lady made a special request; she ordered the lobster sandwich appetizer to be sized as an entrée. The First Lady thanked the chef in French.
