New York, NY - January 28, 2009 - INSIDE EDITION speaks with Suzan Minoret, who says she can prove that she's comic legend Jerry Lewis' long lost daughter.

Suzan Minoret or Suzan Lewis, as she also calls herself, tells INSIDE EDITION her mother, a stunning showgirl, had an affair with Lewis in the 1950's.

Minoret: "He loved my mother. Everyone fell in love with her, so it wasn't surprising."

According to Minoret, the affair began at the famous Copacobana nightclub in New York City where Lewis was performing with Dean Martin.

IE: "To be clear, that moment of conception she told you was where?"

Minoret: "Above the Copacabana in his suite."

Minoret tells INSIDE EDITION her mother made the stunning statement on her deathbed and even signed an affidavit to make it official.

Minoret: "She didn't want to die and me not know where I came from."

But Jerry Lewis has never acknowledged her as his daughter.

Minoret: "He's making it hard and I don't understand why."

Minoret's life is a far cry from that of a Hollywood legend's daughter. She has been down and out, living on the streets, and survives on a meager disability allowance.

Minoret: "A lot of people are going to ask, ‘Are you coming forward in hopes of getting money from Jerry Lewis?' Absolutely not. I've lived in a car. I've done without food. I'm a survivor and I would rather have nothing than be a burden."

Whether people believe her claims or not, Minoret points out to INSIDE EDITION the uncanny resemblance between herself and Jerry Lewis.

IE: "What do you see when you look at him here?"

Minoret: "Me!"

IE:  "The lips, the nose, you even have the dimple."

Minoret: "Oh yeah, everybody says that."

Minoret, who even has a comedy routine mimicking the man she claims to be her father, says that she's always been willing to take a DNA test to prove Jerry Lewis is her father.

Minoret tells INSIDE EDITION she met him once at a hotel in Paris thirty years ago, and that he greeted her warmly.

Minoret: "He just gave me a big hug, you know? And I mean, he was amazing. I'm like, ‘Oh my god, he's my father overnight.'"

INSIDE EDITION contacted Jerry Lewis, but he refused to comment on the show's report.

Minoret: "I don't understand why we can't just be friends and be family."
