CBS NEWS RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK OF FEB. 28

60 MINUTES

  • Delivered 7.99 million viewers, 1.19 million adults 25-54.

  • Delivered its second #1 finish and was a top five broadcast for the 11th time in 20 airings this season.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING

  • Marked 606th consecutive week as America’s #1 Sunday morning news program. (Watch CBS SUNDAY MORNING)

  • The broadcast delivered 5.3 million viewers with 900,000 adults 25-54.

  • Season-to-date, the show is #1 among viewers as well as all key demo breaks.

  • Holds 50% of the three-network morning audience.

FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN

  • #1 Sunday morning public affairs show on March 6. (Press release) (Watch FACE THE NATION)

  • Delivered 3.1 million viewers and 549,000 adults 25-54.

  • Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show in viewers for the second consecutive year (leading NBC by +389K viewers) and is leading NBC for the first time in seven years in the women 25-54 demographic.

CBS MORNINGS

  • Grew +2% in viewers for the best number in four weeks and the only growth seen in any key demo across morning news programs. (Watch CBS MORNINGS)

  • Delivered 2.56 million viewers, 592,000 adults 25-54, and 367,000 women 25-54.

  • In the 26 weeks since launch, CBS MORNINGS is just above even (+0.4%) in adults and +4% in women compared to the previous 26-week period, which is better than the competition, NBC (down -1% in adults and women) and ABC (-1% among adults and down -5% in women).

  • Has cut into NBC and ABC’s leads in the adults 25-54 demo by 11% and 9% respectively. 

  • Season-to-date, the show is delivering the tightest gaps in adults and women 25-54 for a season ever (since at least 1991) vs. NBC and ABC.

CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL

  • Delivered 5.1 million viewers, 822,000 adults 25-54. (Watch the CBS EVENING NEWS)

  • Season-to-date, the show is delivering the tightest demo gap with NBC in 27 years (since 1994-1995) and with ABC since 2019-2020.

  • Compared to last year, CBS EVENING NEWS is closing the demo gap with NBC by 17% and with ABC by 15%. In viewers, CBS has closed the gap by 3% against NBC and 12% with ABC.

48 HOURS

  • Saturday’s #1 non-sports primetime program in viewers. (Watch 48 HOURS)

  • Delivered it best audience since Jan. 29.

  • Delivered 3.07 million viewers, 560,000 adults 25-54.

  • Up +15% in viewers and +25% in adults 25-54 from same night last year.

  • Up +13% in viewers and +25% in adults 25-54 from previous week.

CBS SATURDAY MORNING

  • Delivered 1.9 million viewers, 416,000 adults 25-54. (Watch CBS SATURDAY MORNING)

  • Delivered its best adults 25-54 number in six weeks, growing +1% week to week, the only program to gain viewers.

  • Delivered the tightest gap with NBC since August 2021 (trailing by only -71k - regular titles only) and with ABC by -144,000 (closest since December 2021).  

  • Season-to-date, CBS SATURDAY MORNING has closed the gaps with ABC in total viewers by 14% and by 4% with NBC. In the adults 25-54 demo has closed the gap with ABC by 17% and by 9% with NBC.  

  • The show is delivering the tightest gaps in adults 25-54 and viewers with NBC and ABC ever (since the debut in 2012).
