With rare access to United States Naval Forces Central Command and the United States Fifth Fleet, CBS EVENING NEWS anchor and managing editor Norah O’Donnell will anchor live, special editions of the broadcast this week (Jan. 29) from the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Persian Gulf. The base is vital in supporting Operation Prosperity Guardian, the multi-national coalition created to respond to Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea.

O’Donnell is on assignment for 60 MINUTES for an upcoming story on the crisis in the Red Sea and the U.S. military’s involvement.
