THE “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL” FINISHES THE TELEVISION SEASON IN ITS CLOSEST COMPETITIVE POSITION WITH NBC IN KEY ADULTS 25-54 DEMOGRAPHIC IN 27 YEARS

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL finished the television season in its closest competitive position with “NBC Nightly News” in the key adults 25-54 demographic in 27 years (since 1994/95), according to Nielsen most current ratings.
For the season, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL delivered 5.1 million total viewers and 873,000 in adults 25-54.
The flagship CBS EVENING NEWS broadcast is consistently closing the gap with the competition in the key adults 25-54 demographic. CBS has closed the demo gap by 13% with NBC and by 12% with “ABC World News Tonight” compared to last year.
For the week ending May 27, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL delivered 4.7 million total viewers and 821,000 in adults 25-54, the broadcasts' best weekly average in the demo in eight weeks. The CBS EVENING NEWS gained 8% in the demo and +4% in viewers week-to-week.
