STEVE HARTMAN GOES “ON THE ROAD” TO MEET A 17-YEAR-OLD WHO ATTEMPTED TO BUILD A NUCLEAR REACTOR IN THE FAMILY GARAGE – TONIGHT ON THE “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY”

Imagine your teenage son attempting to build a nuclear reactor in the family garage. Tonight, CBS News Correspondent Steve Hartman goes “On the Road” to meet a 17-year-old who tried to do just that. The report will be broadcast tonight, March 30, on the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY (6:30-7:00 PM) on the CBS Television Network.
In tonight’s report, Hartman meets Taylor Wilson, a whiz kid who at 14-years-old produced fusion after he tried to build a nuclear reactor in his parents’ garage and then completed the project at the University of Nevada, Reno. Wilson went on to teach a graduate-level nuclear physics class at the university.
Patricia Shevlin is the Executive Producer of the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY.
