Ross Reveals He’s Hosting the “90-Day Single Life Tell All” in May

https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/IgDvn7YRU4Cc
Ross: Can I share something that I haven't told anybody yet with you all? So does anyone here watch ‘90 Day Fiance?’ I love it so much I could teach a college course on it, OK?

Drew: And it turns out that maybe all of that knowledge is anything but useless because why?

Ross: Well, why don't we, why don't we show the clip?...So you won't believe where I am right now. Look, I'm on the set of ‘90 Day, the Single Life Tell All’ and oh, where should I sit? How about this? In the host chair, because why? I'm hosting the tell-all and I'm gonna go there, believe me, I will. Every question you're screaming at the TV I'm gonna ask it. Why? Because I'm screaming it too. It's Ross Mathews and I'm hosting the ‘90 Day, the Single Life Tell All’ I'm so excited. I'm gonna have so much fun doing this, so thank you, thank you, thank you, and thank you for letting me tell everybody.

Drew: They could not have handpicked someone more suited, more knowledgeable.

Ross: It finally comes in handy, all my knowledge about 90 days. I say ‘90 Day Fiance’ helped me learn a lot more about geography too, you know, I really learned about, about it, so I just, I want everyone to know how serious I take it and, and how great this is gonna be, and I care about these people. I'm rooting for them. I've followed them for years, so you guys gonna watch?

Simon Rex on Wanting to Retire in Joshua Tree Before Getting an Audition

https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/8mfEwb9EwkDX
Drew: I had been reading articles about your place in Joshua Tree. I have a very special connection to Joshua Tree.

Simon: Most people who go there have that. It's a very special place.

Drew: Why did you choose to reside there?

Simon: Yeah, so it's interesting. I, after 20 years in LA, I hit the wall.

Drew: We know what that does to us, right?

Simon: Like I was done with showbiz and I said, you know what, I need something different. So I took all my money I saved. I went and bought a tiny shipping container house on a nice little piece of land that's off grid, meaning solar, water well, septic tank. There's no, you don't get mail out there. It's a 20 minute dirt road in the middle of nowhere, so it's really remote. And then shortly after living there, I get reached out to by Sean Baker's, a mutual friend of ours, and he says, will you audition for me for this movie on your phone and send it to me right now? And I go, sure, so I put my phone in my kitchen counter and I auditioned for him in this one scene and I got the role, so I'm like, well I guess I'm back in. I tried to retire and he pulled me back in.

We shot this movie during COVID and it was, he said, OK, so when after I got the job, he goes, OK, I don't want you to tell your agents or managers, I don't want to deal with any of that, let's just have you come out if we even pull this movie off, which is gonna be ambitious because we have no permits, you know, we have a 10 person crew and we're hiding from police and neighbors and shooting the movie illegally basically. And the whole movie was like a clandestine operation. Yeah, that's right, I think it helped the movie and it was just like a little student film.

The budget was really small and then next thing you know we finished shooting it and I'm like, oh, let's see what happens, and he calls me up one day, I was eating Korean barbecue by myself and he goes, we're going to Cannes, baby, Cannes being the best film festival in the world, which is a big deal, And now I'm sitting on a couch with you.

Simon on Getting to Do A Nice Guy Role in His New Movie “Tow”

https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/1QrHaFf4DYib
Drew: I loved this movie ‘Tow.’ I have not seen something about something that was seemingly so small and what could be seen as insignificant to someone else, but literally is the domino that sets off something and I don't want to give anything away, so I'll let you say what you think is OK because I don't, I hate spoiler alert, but boy is this film different.

Simon: It's very sweet. It's got, even when you watch the trailer, it's very moving and it was nice to do a, like a nice person, normally I get cast similar to ‘Blink Twice’ and ‘Red Rocket’ as the really, scumbag role, which is so fun to play, but you also wanna be doing roles…Well, yeah, I'd like to think I'm not, so it was nice to do a role that was really sweet, you know, and my character is a good guy and yeah, basically without giving too much away, you know, the whole movie is about her getting her car towed that she lives in. Yes, yeah, and it's based on a true story. She lives in her car.

Drew: That's what's even more incredible and that's what is the hook for me is I'm like, OK, so this happened in someone's life and what you just see domino affecting, it just, it's riveting, it's small, it's subtle, it's heartbreaking, it's like infuriating, it's exciting, but like, again, in this quietness.

Simon on Introducing Leonardo DiCaprio to the “Jersey Shore” Cast

https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/mJMZdapwq32h
Drew: Alright, here we go ready? Alright, let's see what we've got here. OK, number one A, I introduced Leonardo DiCaprio to the Jersey Shore cast at a club. I am going to say that that is true.

Simon: That happened, yeah.

Drew: Tell me about that moment.

Simon: So yeah, I remember I, so LA I was out at the club and I, you know, I don't, I'm not friends with Leo, but I'd say what's up to him and he was at a table and the Jersey Shore was at a table like across the thing and I was over saying what's up to him? He goes, is that the Jersey Shore guys over there? Did you watch that? He goes, yeah. He's like, I wanna meet them. So I brought him over and they were just blown away like he knows who we are and it was just this funny moment where he was talking to them and I just sat back like I did my work. I'm done here.
