Drew: What is Shirley MacLaine like? Which lifetime?

Jennifer: I was gonna say which lifetime are we talking about? She believes that we were a mother and daughter in a previous lifetime and I think it's why we have such we had such an instant bond. She just fantastic.

Drew: It's so funny because she's with her daughter, actually right here. Go ahead.

Jennifer: Oh my god, that really was a, that's a surprise.

Drew: Can I ask what moved you about that so much?

Jennifer: I was with her when my dog passed away. Sorry, and I was at her ranch in New Mexico doing a past life regression retreat. Which sounds crazy when I say it like that, are you worried about me because I'm crying and my dog I'm talking about Norman. Oh my gosh.

Jennifer: You get to a point in your life where you're worried about things, it's just it's sort of a waste of time to worry about, right? All the little things, the things that just don't matter.

Drew: For me it made me so unhappy to mismanage time and then I like thought about my life growing up, how I was an actor and a producer and.

Jennifer: Did you say were? That’s ridiculous. Because you are an actor.  You're gonna get that drag your butt out of this beautiful studio. I love this because how much fun is it? But you gotta get onto this, we're gonna do something.

Drew: You know, you, me and Adam, I'm looking for it still.

Jennifer: Come on. ‘Death Becomes Her.’

Drew: Sure, I mean, I would literally change my life to go do a movie with you and Adam. That's how I feel because nothing would be a better time

 

Jennifer on Whether She’d Want to be on Broadway

Jennifer: And that's like when I saw ‘Annie’ for the first time also around the same and I thought ‘Oh God what to be to be able to be on Broadway.’ you know.

Drew: So back to the question back to you it back do you think that that's something you would consider doing?

Jennifer: Of course I would love to listen, I know it's a very, you know, it's the theater community is, is sacred, so I would be honored if I would be invited into it.

Drew: I think if you look up the definition of a hot ticket. It would be you on Broadway.

Jennifer: It would be really fun.

Drew: I understand that you’re making ‘9 to 5.’ I just want you to know that I can’t wait for that. I cannot wait for you to be at the helm of that film. It’s your company doing it.

Jennifer: And Dolly’s a part of it.

Drew: What’s Dolly like?

Jennifer: She's everything you would imagine and more. She really is. She's Dolly Parton and there's nothing that's not, you know, what you see is what you get.

Drew: I mean, ‘9 to 5’ is iconic and when I heard that you, it was in your hands, I thought, get me to the theater now, please just, I'm so excited.

Jennifer: Well you could go get in line yet, but we won't be there for a while. We'll be a little bit. Well, yes, ‘9 to 5’ it's gonna be so exciting.

Drew: Well, it's because just in case I ever have a hot flash around you again that I have a lot of cooling prophylactics. I have a little electric fan and I have a neck cooler. I just want you to know that this is.

Drew: If I ever am lucky enough to have another hot flash around you that and if it gets really bad. Frank, you can take it away we've got that guy.

Jennifer: That felt so good.

Drew: Because the last time you came here with Adam, I had my first hot flash.

Jennifer: I feel very honored I was here for your very first.Now I know you've had many others since.
