Drew & Kate Hudson Surprise FaceTime Luke Wilson
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/yXJbfd6kwftu
Ross: You FaceTimed into our show once.
Kate: Oh yeah, oh yeah, we, you called me with Michelle. But then you did it again and I didn't answer.
Drew: With Luke Wilson.
Kate: Which I'm like, I can't believe I didn't answer.
Drew: It's funny that you would say that Veda, do you have my iPad, because I actually am gonna up the game here. Did you see the message that Luke I sent you? OK, you saw it. That's perfect.
Kate: Hey Lukey.
Luke: How you doing, girls?
Kate: Where are you?
Luke: I'm actually visiting Owen. He's on location down in Atlanta.
Drew: What's Owen up to?
Luke: He's at work, so when he gets home, I'll have to let him know that Kate and Drew called.
Kate, you're like a co-host at this point. Should I be worried I've only been on this show once.
How often are you on Drew’s show?
Kate: Well, I mean, in spirit, like once a week.
Drew: She actually is co-hosting today, but we love you and we, we love our tradition of, of stalking you when we're together and vice versa.
Kate: We did it. We finally made this happen. Drew made this happen.
Luke: You guys, the last time I had like a very odd couple of days where people were like, did, Kate and Drew ever get in touch with you? Who?
Drew: Well, later today when Owen comes home, you tell him we send our love. We're all here sending you love.
Luke: I really appreciate it. It's great to see you guys. I'm glad we were able to finally do this. I'll let Owen know that you guys were trying to reach him. That'll really, that'll really throw him off at the end of the day. But no, it's great to see you guys. I hope we can all get together in person.
Kate: I think we should call all our ex-boyfriends, right?
Kate Hudson on Her Three-Year Engagement and if She’ll Actually Getting Married
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/RwGnMK9MuFm7
Kate: My best girlfriend when I got married like for some reason I didn't invite any of my friends, which was like because it was so last minute and we just kind of like this, but like my ex-husband didn't really like the friends that I grew up with, so it was like almost like for some reason they subconsciously they had. And my best friend will never let me live it down. We are divorced. We've been divorced forever, and she's like, ‘Yeah, well, I wasn't invited to your wedding.’ Well thank God now she can come to my real wedding.
Drew: Speaking of, you've been engaged for so long.
Ross: How many years now?
Kate: Three.
Ross: I think it's fun that you're prolonging the engagement's a really fun part because people are like excited. Right, you're living in that beautiful.
Drew: My fantasy is to get engaged and just stay engaged.
Kate: Well, I just don't have the same kind of like, ‘Oh my God, I'm gonna get married and I can't wait and I can't wait for the party.’ It's the opposite. I'm like, ‘OK, I have to plan it and then it's gonna cost so much money’ and it's just a lot.
Ross: Would you ever just elope and just maybe, yeah, just invite your best friend, OK?
Drew: Would you ever just stay engaged?
Kate: I, yeah, I like the idea of being engaged forever.
Drew: You know, you have the ring, you have the promise, you have the ultimate commitment.
Kate: I love it.
Ross: But you don't have the gravy boat from the registry, right? Don't you want that?
Kate: I long for the gravy boat. This is part of the dilemma, but I also, I also, I also though, it's like the contractual thing is tough for me. I like my freedom and I don't like to be like I like the concept of freedom and so like this thing when like you're signing the government contract to me just my own thing is like probably why, well, I was raised by Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.
They never signed the contract…they’ve been engaged since I was seven.
Drew Tarver on Kate Hudson Helping Him Find Whimsy In His Life
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/EP1qjIUt8cij
Drew: My character, is the CFO of the team, so he's a little bit obsessed with money. He's really tightly wound, not like me in real life at all. I can tend to be that way, as I grab my knee and don't pet the dog. No, I love the dog.
Drew: This would be a time like your therapist says,
Drew: My therapist was like, ‘Hey, I think you need to have a little more whimsy in your life.’
That was his note for me and I was like, ‘What do you mean? Like, like swing on a swing set?
Like what does that mean exactly?’ Like I feel like if it was snowing I would not even play in the snow. I'd be like, where are we going? Kate as soon as she heard this, I was telling the cast on one of our first days. I was like, yeah, my therapist says I need to find my whimsy. I definitely have, I have mischievous energy but not whimsy, and Kate was like, ‘I'll help you find your whimsy. I'm gonna help you find your whimsy.’
Drew: And I heard like here and there she'd be like there's an opportunity.
Drew: One of the first dinners we went to was next to an abandoned church, and afterwards we went into the church and Kate just kind of spun around and sang in the empty church and I was like, oh, this is a very whimsical moment. I'm gonna spin around too. So I was just kind of spinning around being like woo. And finding my whimsy, I do feel like being on this show is like the final boss of whimsy because you're very whimsical, so I'm gonna go to my therapist and be like, I'm cured. I'm cured. We don't have to do this anymore. I'm very whimsical. I don't know if you saw me on Drew, but I was spinning.
Kate Hudson on “Home Alone” Being Her First Job & Still Receiving Residuals
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/ytalCMQGoVtx
Kate: ‘Home Alone’ was my first job. Because I sang in the chorus, but only, but only like I went to the recording studio and I'm in the chorus that you hear in ‘Home Alone.’ I still get residuals.
Brenda: Like 2 pennies.
Kate: 3 pennies. Yeah, isn't that cool?
Brenda Song on How She Met Macaulay Culkin
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/vS70ZEUC9Hni
Drew: How did you guys meet, may I ask me how did you find each other?
Brenda: We met through a mutual friend, and I actually, the first time we met, I don't remember meeting him for the first time and the first time I actually remember meeting him, the show that I was on with our friend got canceled and he was like trying to be funny and be like, oh, you know, like the show wasn't that great anyway. You guys are fine. I did not like him at all, and he like slowly just backed out of the room was like, I'll just leave. And that friend many years or a few years later, starred, directed, wrote his first movie and basically asked all of his friends to go to Thailand to make this movie. And when we were there, Mac and I, we worked, you know, a total of like 10 days and we're there for 6 weeks and started hanging out and I thought he was gonna be like my BFF and then I was like, oh wait, I kind of have a crush on him and then I thought I was gonna have my first fling and that fling has turned into almost 8 years and 2 kids. So I thought I had my first fling, we traveled back to LA together and I literally at the airport was like see you never. Like I was like this is my first fling. How exciting.
Drew: And are you guys married.
Kate: Also a long term engagement.
Drew: Would you be into this idea of a promise ceremony, a promise ring a new cottage industry I'm trying to upstart.
Kate: I'm gonna be an investor in it.
Brenda: I love this. I'm telling you. Because we, and we always use this term, we're like we could just Goldie and Kurt it.
