Billy Bob Thornton on Meeting His Wife & Being Married Six Times
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/Hc393lUfCfFG
Billy: I've been with my wife for 22 years. We've been married for 10. We have a daughter.
Drew: Her name is Connie, and you actually, is it true that you met on the set of ‘Bad Santa?’
Billy: We did, yes. Well, we met, we met at a time when I needed somebody to meet me because I was going through kind of a lost weekend, you know what I mean.
Drew: I spent like two decades in a lost weekend. I totally understand, maybe three.
Billy: Yes, well, her sister Carrie was a makeup artist on the show, ‘Bad Santa,’ and she said ‘My sister's gonna visit and I got a feeling that you're really gonna like her’ and sure enough I did. And we were together within probably a couple of months maybe yeah, she kind of drug me out of the gutter, which was awesome we've been together longer than if you totaled up all the other five, it's more time.
Drew: Are you five times married? I’m three.
Billy: Well, you wanna hear something that really freaked me out because it's six for me. So one time, I don't know how I got there, but you know when you go on the internet to look something up and then it leads you to like a bunch of other stuff and you don't really wanna look at it, but you do anyway. So I'm looking at it one day and they had the people who with the most marriages in Hollywood. And I was the only person who was alive on it. I mean, it was like, I mean, it had like Mickey Rooney and Elizabeth Taylor and all these people and like, I mean people from like you know, that started in the 30s.
Billy on Why He Prefers to Wear Women’s Jeans
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/sVkm2hhqdLzL
Drew: Is it true also because this was one of my favorite things that I learned about you, do you like women's jeans?
Billy: I've got them on. I'm wearing them right now. The reason I don't like to wear men's jeans is because they're all too baggy. I got bird legs and it just feels like I'm in a tent and, you know, like a nice fit. I like a nice fit and they fit great with boots, and, these are women's size 6 Levi's.
Drew: Size 6. I couldn't get my right butt cheek in those.
Billy on Taylor Sheridan Writing “Landman” Role for Him After Guest Starring on “1883”
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/U6oCOHwmFIiF
Drew: Is it true that this role was actually written for you?
Billy: Yes, yes.
Drew: How did you get together with him and do that?
Billy: Well, he asked me a few years ago to do a cameo in ‘1883’, and I go way back with Sam Elliott, who I just love. Sam Elliott, and also Tim McGraw and Faith Hill who are old friends.
And Taylor said, ‘Look, all you gotta do is come down here for 2 days to Fort Worth and, just come down, see your old friends, go in a saloon, shoot everybody in there and leave.’ I go, ‘All right,’ so I go down there and do that. So at the at this, premiere of ‘1883’ in Las Vegas, I went and, afterward there was a dinner and Taylor said, ‘I'm writing this show based around you called Landman.’
Drew: One thing leads to another too if you say yes to things you don't know where it's gonna lead to, but it does. And so saying yes is a great thing.
Billy: So anyway, he says, ‘I'm writing this show around you and I'm gonna write it in your voice and it's about an inside look at the oil business in West Texas in the 2000s and the good thing is it is it doesn't take a side necessarily it just shows you what happens.’ So this, this really just shows you how the oil has gotten out of the ground and who's responsible for it and how it affects relationships and that's one of the most important things about the show is it it's about how this business if you work in a dangerous high pressure job, how it affects your family and your friends and the people around you and the people who work in it.
Justine Lupe on “Succession” & Having a Crush on Co-Star Matthew Macfayden
https://app.cimediacloud.com/r/yh02v7SuJQrB
Drew: ‘Succession,’ what was that like? First of all, let's start off with, did you have a crush on Matthew McFadden?
Justine: Does anyone not have a crush on Matthew McFayden? I mean, he's truly like the hottest. OK, so when I was in, whenever it came out, I think middle school, I renamed my boyfriend in my phone, Mr. Darcy. I mean, is there anyone more dreamy than that man in that movie?
Drew: When he says to her like you have captured me body and soul.
Justine: Oh my God, is that the one in the field? Where they like walk towards each other in the sunlight rising perfectly? Like what the hell?
Drew: He's perfectly married and perfectly happy. I am not being salacious
Justine: And he's like the kindest, most professional, sweet, thoughtful human. Matthew's just a sweetheart.
Drew: Well, that's good. What, what was it like to do that show? Like when it started, did you get a sense that it was going to become like one of the most important legacy shows ever to be on television?
Justine: No,I don't think there's, can you? I mean, like, did you know when you were shooting ‘Ever After’ that like all of us were going to watch it 15 times?
Drew: No, no, no.

Drew: Were you pregnant when you started?
Justine: I was pregnant when I started.
Drew: So while you were filming, you were pregnant?
Justine: I was, yeah.
Drew: Was this your first pregnancy?
Justine: This is my first pregnancy. Yeah. I just had my baby 3 months ago. Yeah, a girl too.
Drew: Oh my God, it's a girl. What is her name?
Justine: Her name is Ellis.
Drew: Wait, is this a first? You guys are you announcing this right now? The name?
Justine: Oh, this is the first time I've said the name. Yes.
Drew: Oh my goodness…Ellis, may I ask why Ellis?
Justine: Yeah, so my partner picked the name. He loved it, and then it's very unique. I don't feel like I know any other, and it means kind and benevolent, which we really wanted to like put that energy around the baby…and then weirdly we were watching ‘Shawshank Redemption’ which I hadn't seen…He was like, you have to watch this movie and I'm like in love with Morgan Freeman while I'm watching and I'm like, this guy's amazing, the character of Red and later in the movie you find out his name is Ellis, and we had just figured that out….My partner after we decided the name was Ellis, kind of like lightly, he went out and got it tattooed onto his finger. So we were like, OK, so the name is definitely Ellis.
