Kathryn Newton on Finding Family on the Set of "All My Children" with Kelly Ripa and Josh Duhamel

Drew: You do also make families, like the extended family I found on sets. And you were related to Kelly Ripa in the soap opera "All My Children."
Kathryn: She played my sister. Jonathan Bennett played my brother; Josh Duhamel played the same character as my brother. And it's so strange when you're little, after they switched these actors out, and Jonathan Bennett wasn't my brother anymore, I still went with him to Toys R Us. I was convinced he was my brother and Kelly Ripa was my sister. I know now she's not, and I'm okay...But I do think being on a set, no one understands. Like we're here on your show, and we know you want us to do a good job. And I feel like that's my experience of being on a set, everyone around me always wanted me to do a good job.
Cole Sprouse Says He Considers Child Acting to be an Incredible Privilege

Drew: How do you feel about your life looking back at it?
Cole: I consider it to be an incredible privilege now, I'll be honest. Genuinely, I don't know where I'd be without acting as a kid. I also have to admit I had the tremendous privilege of being raised around an identical twin that was going through the exact same circumstances as me at the same exact time.
Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton on Navigating Social Media

Drew: What's your advice?
Cole: For the social media thing? Oh man, I don't know. I think to get off of it completely is the best thing ever. But now, of course, that's also a privilege. Much of the entertainment industry is run by social media.
Drew: And it's also become a very innovative job creator. So where do we find the balance? And at 32 million followers you have, which I checked...Your feed is also full of your photography. Cole Sprouse, you are the best photographer, I love your photography so much and I always talk about it. Please don't stop putting it out into the world...What about the female/male aspect of it, do you think that there is a difference in what your experience was like as a male, as opposed to our experience as a female?
Kathryn: I know I can post thirst traps and you just can't.
Cole: Oh I can...They just look different.
Kathryn: Is there a difference?
Cole: I think so. I think when you become successful in the entertainment sense and people start to recognize you, you lose your anonymity, and the reduction of that anonymity is a weird process that twists different people in different ways. I think the female experience is, at least what I observed as a third party, was a lot more sexualizing than what my brother and I received. But I think it's totally different and I think it's interesting to ask that question because I only know my personal experience.
