Drew’s News: Drew & Ross Mathews on Menopause Vacations

Ross: The Wall Street Journal reports that menopause vacations are a thing…I was thinking about my mom when I saw this story because my mom when she was going through menopause she would just walk up to the freezer and open it and breathe like that…I wanted to take her somewhere, you know where I took her in the middle of menopause on an Alaskan Cruise because it was July and it was 58 degrees there. It was perfect.

Drew: What was the name of that hotel?

Ross: Are you approaching the um?

Drew: Somethings happening in here. I’m 47 and it’s all higgledly-piggledy. I’ve never felt better and yet I do not feel myself.

Drew & Justin Long On Love Always Remaining Between Them

Justin: That’s what we did we laughed so much, like that was so much a part of our connection was that we love funny people, we enjoy laughing at all times. I love that we maintained our love because I know for my end it will never go away. I love you always. I am glad that we are able to still have that. I mean that. I’ll always love you.

Drew: I will always love you so much. You were so important to me. I really am, I’m really grateful. I feel like we’ve been through so much together too. When we used to talk and Facetime I was always like, ‘You Know I’ve really grown up Justin.’ I always wanted to prove to you what a different person I was then when we dated.

Justin: You were the best.

Drew: We had so much fun but we were more hedonistic. A little more immature. We would get together, we would breakup. It was chaos, it was hella fun. 

Justin: Fun chaos, well yeah, most hedonism is fun.

Drew: Oh my God our game nights. I was a nutcase. I used to like just drink and be like PLAY…I was that guy.

Justin: True, it was wild. I remember playing with Quentin Tarantino and he was going, ‘Here’s what it is,’ and he was all juiced up and wild…That is the greatest compliment to get a genuine Drew spit take. The best.

Drew: But if you know Quentin Tarantino everything is like on 20.

Justin: Yes, it’s like, ‘The stakes are so high.’ It’s a game. We had the best time. Game nights were fun.

Justin: She does all those things. And she adores you. She is the most supportive, most wonderful. You would love hanging out with her. We’ll all go out together.

Audience Member: Looking over the rolodex of all of your dates. I want to know which one maybe was the best.

Justin: You know a wild one I was thinking of was when we went to see Green Day. My parents don’t know this. Do you remember this what happened at Green Day afterwards we were hanging out with Billy Joe?

Drew: Yes in his hotel room at the Sunset Marquis.

Justin: And one of the guys cracked open a pen and he couldn’t believe I didn’t have any tattoos.

Drew: A stick and poke.

Justin: I said I don’t know what to get because I never wanted, I had some commitment issues.

Drew: No, no. Well I did too. Billy Joe Armstrong from Green Day gave us stick and poke tattoos in his hotel room

Justin: I said, ‘Well  I don’t know what to get.’ I was obviously not very sober.

Drew: We were definitely partying and having so much fun.

Justin: Billy Joe said I am going to give you both one tonight and this is the state I was in, I said, ‘Okay, I feel silly not letting you poke me with some random needle.
