Drew: Can I girlfriend out with you for a second?

Elisabeth: I would love nothing more.

Elisabeth: This is why people love your show because it feels like you get girlfriend time with Drew Barrymore.

Drew: And I’m gonna get girlfriend time with Elisabeth Moss my hero. Okay, let’s do this. I wanna know the woman behind the woman with funny random facts like favorite song right now?

Elisabeth: Lorde probably, the new Lorde album…I know it didn’t just come out but I’ve just started listening to it.

Drew:…What really ticks you off?

Elisabeth: Oh you know what ticks me off, this is an honest answer, when people say, ‘Oh I didn’t want to bother you with that.’ That really ticks me off because eventually as you know as a producer, as a person who’s running anything, you know it’s gonna be your problem eventually it’s coming your way, but when it comes your way it’s sometimes too late and it’s a bigger problem. So I feel like there’s a condescension in that, that maybe women experience more than men…but it really ticks me off.

Drew:…Okay you have two cats, Lucy and Ethel, and is it true you adopted them on a film set?

Elisabeth: Yeah, they were found on the street in Brooklyn actually in Park Slope…yeah so they were found on the street and then we used them in this film that I did called, ‘Listen Up Phillip’…I took them home and I thought I’ll find them homes and nine years later here we are.

Drew: …Okay one part maybe in history from film or television that you’ve watched, is there anything that you would ever want to play?

Elisabeth: …That’s hard because everybody does such a good job. I will say one of my favorite movies is ‘Gravity’ Sandra Bullock, and although I would never do as good of a job as she did in that film, untouchable she’s incredible, I would love to do something like that that was, required such an amount of technical perfection, such an amount of concentration, is almost entirely a solo performance, she uses almost entirely her own imagination, I think that would be a really interesting challenge to do something like that and anything Sci-Fi, I love Sci-fi.

Drew: …Is it true that you’re in season 5 right now of the ‘The Handmaid’s Tale?’…and I love where it’s going. We are just all human and when people have been wronged we want to make it right and it’s just delicious and fighty and fighty and everything what’s going on how’s the season going, any spoilers?

Elisabeth: It’s going really well, we’re halfway through…I will say that it’s a very big season, we’ve been on location a lot. We’ve been in the studio very little, which for us means that it’s very big and we’re just constantly on the road, a lot of locations. June’s journey is big, the other characters’ journeys are very big and June’s dealing with what does freedom actually mean and can she really be free and what does that mean and where do I place my anger and these really big questions that I think are also really identifiable.
