JEOPARDY!’ CONTESTANT SETH WILSON’S 12th VICTORY SECURES

FIFTH-PLACE SPOT ON ALL-TIME CONSECUTIVE WINS LIST

Wilson Returns Wednesday for 13th Game

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (October 4, 2016) – Seth Wilson, a 31-year-old Ph.D. student at the University of Georgia now living in Nacogdoches, Texas, won his 12th consecutive game of JEOPARDY! today, bringing his total prize money to $265,002. Wilson is now in fifth place on the all-time consecutive wins list; only four other JEOPARDY! contestants have won more games than he has: Matt Jackson (13 wins), Dave Madden (19 wins), Julia Collins (20 wins), and Ken Jennings (74 wins). The fifth-place position was previously held by Arthur Chu (11 wins).

After the first win, I was able to relax a lot. I felt like I had accomplished the main thing I came to do, and everything from that point on was just icing on the cake,” Wilson said. “Getting to be a part of a show that I’ve watched since I could talk was already an amazing experience, and the thought of my name being mentioned alongside all-time greats like Ken Jennings, Brad Rutter, Julia Collins, David Madden, Matt Jackson, and Arthur Chu—to name just a few—is unbelievable to me. I feel like I’m nowhere near as good as any of those folks, so it’s a humbling honor.”

Wilson will face two new challengers Wednesday, October 5, as he attempts to extend his streak to 13. Check local listings for or visit the Find Your Station page on Jeopardy.com for channel information.
