October 29, 2010 (Los Angeles, CA) - ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT's MARY HART is with Sarah Palin on day two of ET's exclusive interview with the former Governor of Alaska and Vice Presidential candidate. In the interview, which airs tonight, Friday, October 29th, Sarah says she's "perplexed" when people say she's polarizing, and also shares the darkest time in her marriage to husband Todd.

When asked, "How does it feel to be one of the most polarizing figures in America today?" The mom of five responds, "That is a bit perplexing because I think, what is polarizing or extreme about believing, politically speaking, in the United States Constitution? And our Declaration of Independence, and all those things that it stands for? And what our founding mothers and fathers in this country meant for America to keep building upon? Those are the things that I believe in. What's extreme about that? How is that polarizing? So I'm still perplexed by that, that characterization of the polarization."

On a lighter note, Mary asks, "When you and Todd actually have a date night, what do you do?"

Sarah replies in her usual unique fashion, telling ET, "[In the] winter time we snow machine, [in the] summer time we're usually out on the lake fishing. Or sometimes I get him to come jogging with me or we'll go out to the gun range and we'll shoot targets. We're outdoors, we're having fun in Alaska."

With all the bounty that Alaska has to offer, would Todd be okay living in Washington, D.C. if Sarah does decide to run for president? Mary asks, "Life would change dramatically though, if it were Washington, can he stand the thought of that?"

Sarah responds, "Yeah, Todd can handle anything."

But Sarah says that everything hasn't always been perfect in her 22-year-marriage to Todd, who spent many years working as a commercial fisherman at sea, and 1,500 miles from home in the Alaskan oil fields. Mary asks, "There are stumbling blocks along in every marriage, have you had yours?"

Sarah answers candidly, "I remember when the kids were really little, when Track and Bristol, they're seventeen months apart, they were tiny, Todd was working up on the slope [at an oil field], needing to work a lot of overtime, so he was gone a lot. ... But I remember that point in our marriage thinking, 'Is this the way it's gonna be for the rest of our lives together?'"
