“If he goes, I’m going too.”

April 26, 2013 (New York, NY) –ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT spoke with NBC’s Today co-host Kathie Lee Gifford regarding her letter of support for fellow colleague Matt Lauer.  Gifford, who gathered hundreds of signatures from Today’s cast and crew for a full-page USA Today ad in support of Lauer, explained, “People didn’t even finish reading it and were ripping the pen out of my hand to sign it… NBC didn’t ask me to do this.  They know better.  This was a proclamation in support of Matt.”

Gifford goes on to say, “We are tired of the truth not coming forward and we have watched this man we respect and admire be vilified. He is a good guy and if he goes, I’m going too.” 

When asked if highly-publicized ousted former Today co-host Ann Curry had signed the letter, Gifford replied “It’s not that she didn’t sign it.  It’s just that we couldn’t find Ann.”
