ET FIRST | CHARLIE HUNNAM ON BEING CAST AS CHRISTIAN GREY

In response to all of the media attention surrounding him being cast as Christian Grey in the highly anticipated film Fifty Shades of Grey, actor Charlie Hunnam, who currently stars in FX’s Sons of Anarchy, tells ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, “I had anticipated it, these books were a global phenomenon.  I isolate myself [so I] haven't been too aware of what's [going on in] social media.” Hunnam continues to express his excitement by exclaiming, “[I am] so excited to be entrusted with this empowered character.” 

While discussing the audition process Hunnam says that he did a work session with Dakota Johnson and that she was the only person he auditioned with for the part.He explains that he wanted to do a work session with her because, “[I] wanted to feel like he was in my bones.”
