Drew & Milo On Sharing Crooked Smiles

Drew: Well I was really excited to talk to you today for many reasons but one because you might be my twin.

Milo: How so?

Drew: I too have a crooked smile.

Milo: Yours is much more lovely than mine. Actually, when I was a kid I had someone tell me that they could probably repair it with surgery and I kind of looked at them and was like, ‘No, it’s cool, it’s me, it’s fine.’ I bite my lip from time to time but otherwise I’m okay with it.

Drew: I wasn’t aware of this until I was doing a film with Jimmy Fallon and the Farrelly brothers and we were in Toronto working and the Farrellys are major pranksters and they were like, ‘Okay Jimmy tell her something about her that’s going to surprise her in this scene.’ So he did, he said, ‘You know how when you talk out of the side of your mouth.’ And I was like, ‘Uh huh.’ That was the day that changed my life forever because once you see that room with the lights on when someone turns the lights off and says pretend you don’t know what it looks like, you can’t.

Milo: Yeah, I get that. When I was a kid I wrestled in high school and came off the mat at this local tournament and I’m doing this interview, and then at 11:00pm when the Orange County news channel is on I’m like, ‘Oh man I’m going to be on TV this is going to be amazing.’ I’m watching this and the only thing I can focus on is this really, really severely crooked mouth and I’m like, ‘Mom is that what I look like?’ And she’s like ‘Yeah, yeah that’s you. What do you mean?’ I go, ‘Well my mouth, why is it so crooked?’ She goes, ‘That’s you.’ And I remember from that point forward I was very aware of it, very self-conscious of it.

Drew: I know and it’s funny because it’s your mom and I have two kids and Frankie has a lisp and someone was like, ‘Oh she’ll grow out of that,’ and I was like, ‘Maybe not, I never did.’

Milo: But the good news is it has actually helped me out in work. A lot of people say it’s kind of a signature and it helped me get a job one time.

Drew: With Sylvester Stallone. Who I realized doing my research on you was like, ‘Oh my God,’ so it’s you, me and him in a family.

Milo: Yeah I was auditioning for ‘Rocky Balboa’ and he said something funny and we both just started laughing and then he kind of looks at me and he says to me, ‘Wow, his lip it even hooks down like mine does.’

Rapid Fire with Milo

Drew: It’s Milo in a minute. Are you an open book person or keep it close to the chest?

Milo: Close to the chest.

Drew: …Okay first person you call when you get good news?

Milo: Russ, my producing partner or my mom.

Drew: The last time you cried?

Milo: Probably a couple of days ago.

Drew: First celebrity crush?

Milo: I think it might have been Alyssa Milano or somebody from ‘Saved by the Bell.’

Drew: Oh my God I used to go around with her and yeah, I had a crush on her. One skill set you wish you could have?

Milo: I wish I could play the piano.

Drew: What was the last text you sent?

Milo: It was to my publicist Gina, ‘Gina I think I messed up on user name and sign in. Wait, I figured it out.’

Drew: The last movie you watched?

Milo: ‘Lethal Weapon 2.’

Drew: Ooo, good one. What makes you nervous?

Milo: Not a whole lot.

Drew: Brave. The last mistake you made?

Milo: That same text I was trying to send to my publicist Gina, I accidentally sent it to somebody else whose first name starts with a G and I hadn’t returned a message to that person in a year.
