JONATHAN BINGAMAN AND ROBERT SCHILDHOUSE NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, CBS TELEVISION DISTRIBUTION

 

 

LOS ANGELES – JANUARY 5, 2016 – Sales executives Jonathan Bingaman and Robert Schildhouse have been promoted to Executive Vice President at CBS Television Distribution.

 

Bingaman was promoted to Executive Vice President of Domestic Cable Sales, and Schildhouse was named Executive Vice President, Digital Licensing and Distribution.

These well-deserved promotions reflect the integral roles they have played in maximizing the value of CBS’s content in the cable and digital marketplaces,” said Scott Koondel, Chief Licensing Officer for CBS Corp., to whom they both report.

 

Most recently Senior Vice President of Domestic Cable Sales since 2010, Bingaman heads cable sales for all series from CBS Television Distribution and CBS Television Studios, as well as product from CBS News, CBS Films and Showtime.  Previously, Bingaman ran the Chicago sales office from 2008 to 2010 as Senior Vice President and Regional Sales Manager. He also has served as Western Division Manager, Los Angeles, and as the Eastern Division Manager in New York for CTD. Previously, he worked in sales at Bloomberg Television.

 

Bingaman graduated from Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in communications.

 

Schildhouse, who joined the company in 2013 as Senior Vice President of Digital Licensing and Distribution, focuses on licensing CBS’s programming to digital platforms including online streaming, video on demand and subscription video on demand services.

 

Schildhouse joined CTD from Hulu, where he served as co-head of content acquisition for the online video streaming service from 2008 to 2013. He was responsible for numerous new content partnerships for Hulu.com and Hulu Plus, including with Univision for the initial launch of Hulu’s Spanish language business, Hulu Latino; WWE programming on Hulu Plus; and Broadway Video, which produced Hulu’s first animated original series.

 

Previously, Schildhouse worked at Yahoo! and Motricity in various roles. He began his career at GE Capital where he graduated from GE’s Financial Management Program. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, as well as a bachelor’s degree in finance from The Ohio State University.
