EXCLUSIVE: DR. PHIL SPEAKS WITH THE OKLAHOMA MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHER CHARGED WITH HAVING SEX WITH HER 15-YEAR-OLD STUDENT, AIRING TOMORROW, TUESDAY, MAY 19
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
“I’m not a monster and I’m not a predator. I didn’t mean any harm, I made a stupid decision.” – Jennifer Caswell
(Hollywood, CA – May 18, 2015) - In a DR. PHIL exclusive, Jennifer Caswell, the Oklahoma middle school teacher charged with having sex with her 15-year-old, 8th grade student, speaks out for first time, only to Dr. Phil. Caswell, formerly known by her married name Jennifer Sexton, is currently facing multiple charges, including second-degree rape, and potentially could be registered as a sex offender for the rest of her life. The episode airs tomorrow, Tuesday, May 19 (check local listings).
In the interview, Caswell admits to the relationship with the male student and explains how she says it began and how she says her failing marriage with her now ex-husband, as well as the culture in her small town, all contributed to the unlawful relationship. Caswell claims, “I felt very unwanted by my husband. I was with him for ten years and I was never complimented. We never held hands or were physical.” Caswell claims it was the attention, flirting and compliments she received from the student that led to their sexual relationship, which began after school in her classroom.
In a startling admission, Caswell explains how she followed the young boy 650 miles to Mississippi on his family vacation for a secret tryst. She also reveals why she continued the relationship with the minor after she abruptly resigned from the school and if she was in love with him. Also, she surprisingly reveals who she is most upset with in the situation and if she would rekindle the relationship with the boy if given the chance.
