“…it's not like I'm seeing him every day, I promise…”

November 12, 2014 (Milledgeville, GA) - ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT’s Brooke Anderson spoke exclusively to June ‘Mama June’ Shannon about recent media reports that she is in a relationship with registered sex offender Mark McDaniel, the man that molested her daughter, Anna Marie Cardwell, when she was eight years old and also tells us who she says is 14-year-old Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Shannon’s real father.

When asked by Anderson if McDaniel was Pumpkin’s biological father Mama June claims, “Pumpkin's real father is [sister] Jessica’s father…I lied to my family and told them it was somebody else...It's Michael Anthony Ford…He was caught on [To] Catch A Predator back in 2005…He's doing time for [sexual] exploitation of minors until 2026.”  She goes on to say that Pumpkin is aware that Ford is her father explaining, “Yes, she knows biologically that's her dad but…Mark was the one who named Pumpkin, Pumpkin.”

While discussing if she understands why people are upset over recent released images of her with McDaniel, Mama June states, “I understand that…and honestly it's not like I'm seeing him every day, I promise…I wanted to be able to give one of my other daughters closure and now Pumpkin is happy, that piece of our life is over.”
