October 23, 2014 (Los Angeles, CA) – THE INSIDER sat down with singer-songwriter Charli XCX to discuss how Grammy award-winning musician Lorde recruited her for the highly anticipated Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 soundtrack.  Charli XCX exclaims, “[Lorde] actually messaged on Instagram and I didn’t see it because I didn't know you could message people on Instagram. So, I think she thought I was ignoring her for ages because I never got back to her but then we figured it out. We got in touch and she asked me to submit a song. I had never seen the movies or read the books so she literally wrote the whole book out in an e-mail to me…I was really honored to be a part of this soundtrack. I really believe in what Lorde is doing and everything she does as an artist.  I'm so glad that she has such a great platform and the soundtrack to showcase her business skills like a business woman because she really is. I'm very happy she reached out to me.”
