15 STUDENTS TO COMPETE FOR $75,000 IN

‘JEOPARDY!’ TEEN TOURNAMENT, AIRING JULY 21 – AUGUST 1

 

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (July 9, 2014) – The 29th edition of the JEOPARDY! Teen Tournament is set to begin on July 21. 15 students (aged 13 to 17) will compete for the $75,000 grand prize over the course of the two-week event, which concludes with a two-day final airing July 31 and August 1.  

 

“The Teen Tournament is the last event of JEOPARDY!’s 30th anniversary season, which has been filled with wonderful, exciting moments,” said JEOPARDY! host Alex Trebek. “You’ll certainly want to tune in to this final event to see what this group of young, sharp contestants has in store for you.”

To qualify for the tournament, prospective contestants were selected from those who passed a 50-question online test. A select group was then invited to attend regional in-person auditions consisting of a second 50-question test, an interview and mock game play.
