“What happened to Monica Spear is something that [is] not just [to] her, an actress, it's millions, thousands a day.”

CHEAT TWEET:  The Bachelor's JUAN PABLO opens up to @TheInsider about Miss Venezuela's murder and his fears for the safety of his family.

January 8, 2014 (Los Angeles, CA) –
Native Venezuelan and star of The Bachelor, Juan Pablo Galvais, opens up to THE INSIDER’s Kevin Frazier about yesterday’s news of the tragic murder of Miss Universe Venezuela 2004 Monica Spearand the fear he has for his family currently living in Venezuela.  On Spear’s death, Galvais said, “What happened to Monica Spear is something that [is] not just [to] her, an actress, it's millions, thousands a day. There are families, there are people that I know that have been kidnapped, have been robbed so it's sad…It's sad to see a beautiful country that I used to walk when I was 15 years old, everywhere, and now you have to have a bullet proof car. You have to drive with body guards. I cannot go to a movie theater and come out at nine o’clock and see what's going to happen to me. It's not worth it.”

Galvais, who due to the tragic event, plans to bring his pregnant sister to the United States from Venezuela and has also asked his daughter’s mother to immediately return from her vacation there, tells Frazier, “It got to a point that it's impossible for me to live with somebody there or live there. I got to a point that I don't trust police, I don't trust militaries, I don't trust any of those. It's just too corrupt. That it's not worth it.”

Galvais said he plans to attend Spear’s memorial service.
