DR. PHIL’S MUCH-ANTICIPATED EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH ARIEL CASTRO VICTIM MICHELLE KNIGHT AIRS
NEXT TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5 AND WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6
(Los Angeles, CA – November 1, 2013) – In an exclusive two-part interview Ariel Castro’s first victim, Michelle Knight, tells her tale of the horrifying 11 years spent in captivity to Dr. Phil this Tuesday, November 5, 2013 and Wednesday, November 6, 2013 (check local listings). Knight is the first of the three victims who escaped Castro’s Cleveland inner-city house to speak out.
Knight describes the horrible conditions in the house and reveals the various methods of physical, mental, and sexual abuse that Castro inflicted on her, some of which include being “tied up like a fish” and spending weeks chained up and tortured in Castro’s basement. She also reveals how she was able to survive the almost daily brutality suffered at the hands of this madman.
Knight was the only one in the house with Castro for nearly a year before his second victim arrived, followed by his third victim approximately a year after that. Knight thought her only escape from this relentless punishment would be death, but on May 6, 2013, she along with his two other captives, managed to get out.
“Three women were taken, three women were rescued, but only two went home,” said Dr. Phil, referring to Knight's refusal to reunite with her family after the three escaped.
Clips from Tuesday’s episode will be available on Monday, November 4 after 9 am/PT.
