FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PARENTS OF MISSING PORTLAND BOY, KYRON HORMAN, REUNITE
ON DR. PHIL TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17
(Los Angeles, CA – September 16, 2013) – In an exclusive interview, the divorced parents of a Portland boy whose missing persons case drew national attention in 2010 will come together for the first time in three years, this Tuesday, September 17, 2013 (check your local listings) on DR. PHIL.
The parents, Kaine and Desiree, appear on the show in an attempt to find their son. Desiree is hoping to get any information Kaine may have regarding their son’s disappearance. The couple, who were divorced at the time their son went missing, displayed a united front at first, but stopped communicating shortly thereafter.
In the fall of 2010, Kyron Horman, who was seven years old at the time, participated in a science fair at his school. Although the boy’s step-mother, Terri, claims she dropped him off, Kyron never returned home. Kaine and Desiree say that they believe Terri, the last known person to see the boy, knows more than what she has disclosed to investigators. Desiree says she doubts Terri’s story because she knows her son would never leave school with a stranger or wander off. According to law enforcement, Terri, who is now estranged from Kaine, is neither a person of interest nor a suspect in Kyron’s disappearance.
“I’m hoping that someone watching will recognize something in this show that could lead to the rescue of Kyron Horman,” said Dr. Phil. “We need to find this child.”
The syndicated series, DR. PHIL, was created by Harpo Productions, and is produced by Peteski Productions in association with CBS Television Distribution. DR. PHIL, entering its 12th season, is the #1 ranked syndicated daytime talk show, a position held since the conclusion of The Oprah Winfrey Show in May, 2011.
