May 29, 2013 (Glendale, AZ) – omg! INSIDER spoke exclusively to gossip blogger Perez Hilton about actress and former friend Amanda Bynes’ current headline-grabbing startling behavior. This is the first time Hilton is speaking out about their previous friendship and what he thinks is really happening with her.

Perez tells omg!INSIDER, “She's physically very different but also the Amanda that I knew was normal, polite and sweet. She would give me advice, would give other people relationship advice, would talk and would be your girly girl; the Amanda Bynes of today is repeatedly calling people ugly and is just lost. Now I don't know for sure what's going on, all of us can speculate, while I think there may be mental instability, obviously to me I think there are drugs at play.” He goes on to surmise, “Amanda hasn't been working for the last several years so [she has] no reason or excuse to be sober. So, to me, she has just been on a really long high, allegedly, for a very long time with no comedown and she's really lost touch with reality.”

Perez reveals, “I have tried to reach out to Amanda repeatedly. I could show you text messages I have sent her recently and she actually texts back sometimes and sends really bizarre texts like, ‘I was never really your friend because you're ugly and I'm not friends with ugly people.’ This ugly thing isn't just a Twitter thing-- in her mind something has clicked in a weird way where calling somebody ugly is the worst insult ever. Maybe somebody or, lots of people, called her ugly when she was younger. That might also be one of the reasons why, according to her, she's had plastic surgery.”
