May 16, 2013 (Las Vegas, NV) – omg! INSIDER’s Christina McLarty exclusively sat down with former Nevada District Court Judge Jackie Glass, who sentenced O.J. Simpson to prison in 2008, to discuss his current hearing seeking a retrial because he alleges he had poor legal representation.  Glass sentenced Simpson to 9-33 years in federal prison on conspiracy to commit a crime, robbery, kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon charges.  She proclaims to McLarty, “A jury found him guilty of many serious charges and when you are convicted of those charges the only option, as a judge, was to send him to prison.  Because of the jury’s verdict, O.J. deserves to be in prison.” 

While discussing Simpson’s jovial attitude and overall physical appearance in court yesterday Glass explains that Simpson still has the same star power, “That’s just his personality, that’s how O.J. is and just because he’s been in a locked facility doesn’t mean that has left him.  That’s the very core of O.J. Simpson.”  Regarding his dramatic change of appearance Glass responds, “He’s been in prison, it’s not a spa.  He doesn’t get facials and massages.  He doesn’t get good food.  This is a man who is in a locked facility with limited time outside with not good quality food.”

Simpson was famously acquitted in 1995 for the murders of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.
