(Los Angeles, CA – November 16, 2012) – This Monday, November 19 (check local listings), Dr. Phil pays a surprise visit to Susanne Eman, the world’s biggest bride, six months after convincing her to stop her outrageous quest to become the heaviest woman on record and start losing weight to save her life.  Also appearing on the show will be Robert Gibbs, who in March made a desperate plea to Dr. Phil through social media to help him lose weight and live a normal life.   

Eman first appeared on the DR. PHIL Show in May 2012 with a goal to weigh 800 pounds for her upcoming wedding, and eventually get to 1,600 pounds, making her the world’s heaviest woman.  Dr. Phil persuaded Eman to abandon the life-threatening pursuit and seek treatment at Wellspring at Structure House, an internationally recognized weight loss center.  On Monday, Dr. Phil checks in on Eman’s progress in her battle to lose weight and if she is sticking to the program. 

Gibbs also appeared on the show previously, after a viral video he made pleading Dr. Phil for help to lose weight was spotted by producers.  The journey from his northern California home to the DR. PHIL Show’s studios in Hollywood was a difficult one and required the assistance of five emergency medical technicians (EMT’s) and two medical vans to transport Gibbs.  At the time he was unable to walk more than a few steps unassisted and was wheeled onto the stage.  Eight months later he joins Dr. Phil to reveal how much weight he’s lost at the Wellspring Academy residential weight-loss program.
