GLENDALE, AZ – September 30, 2012 – Entertainment Tonight’s Christina McLarty sits down with Justin Bieber as he launches his North American Tour at the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, AZ. The pop phenom offers insight into what it takes to put a tour together, as well as his Mom's strength during his childhood, how his passion keeps him sane and his desire to further his acting career.

When asked by McLarty abouthis Mom, Pattie Mallette's new book about overcoming a past filled with sex abuse and depression, he replies, "My mom went through a lot growing up.  And I feel like it’s going to help a lot of young girls who went through a similar story...She didn't tell me any of it until I was old enough.  I was like 'Wow, I can’t believe you stayed so strong through me being young.  It’s great.'"

Bieber comments on what keeps him sane while living in the center of the media spotlight: "I think it’s the passion inside me; that passion to just go out there and make everyone super happy and proud of me.  I just want to make a good impact on the world.  Whether to believe, or never give up on your dreams, because I never thought I could be here.  You guys probably don’t think you can get to where you could get but you can, because I’m here performing in this huge arena, with all this huge production.  I never thought that I would be able to do any of this; this is beyond my wildest dreams." 

Bieber lets McLarty in on his acting aspirations: "I hope to [go] further in acting.  I have a few offers for different scripts after my tour’s done, so I’m pretty excited about that.  And I just want to figure out roles that are going to be good for me.  I want to do some comedy stuff...I want to do some action stuff..."
