(Los Angeles, CA – March 12, 2012) – Tammie Powers, whose 18-year-old daughter is living with 41-year-old former high school teacher James Hooker, confronts her daughter’s one-time educator in a daytime exclusive this Tuesday, March 13 (check local listings), on DR. PHIL. 

The couple made national headlines recently when Hooker left behind his wife, three daughters and a 15-year teaching career at Enoch High School in Modesto, CA, to move in with Jordan Powers.  Though Hooker and Powers admit they began dating when she was a student in Hookers’ class, the couple insists their relationship did not begin until after Powers turned 18 last September. 

“I feel like we’re in a custody dispute,” Tammie Powers said to Hooker during the taping.  “You’re the dad, I’m the mom, this is the child.”

Jordan Powers is scheduled to graduate this spring, but is no longer a student at Enoch.
