June 13, 2011 (Los Angeles, CA) - ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT confirms that Kevin Bacon is alive and well, despite an earlier internet report that the Footloose actor had passed away in a tragic car accident. A website, MediaFetcher, claimed that he was killed in a single vehicle crash in Queensland, Australia at 5:30 AM local time. 

Bacon's rep, Jennifer Allen,  tells ET  "Kevin is on set in Atlanta and is just fine".  He is there shooting "Jayne Mansfield's Car" directed by Billy Bob Thornton and also starring Robert Duvall.
