October 6, 2010 (Los Angeles, CA) - ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT's SAMANTHA HARRIS is exclusively on the set of the highly anticipated remake of "Footloose" with Julianne Hough talking dancing, "Dancing with the Stars" -- and Ryan Seacrest in a new interview to air tonight, October 6^th.

Julianne remained mostly mum about her relationship with the "American Idol" host and radio personality, but she did address recent rumors that he was planning to propose! "Well, that's news to me, and I think it's news to him," she said with a smile. As for her summer European trip with Ryan where they were snapped by paparazzi enjoying each other's company on a private yacht, she reveals the most exciting thing about the vacation was, "Eating, eating, eating, eating; I definitely had to get into shape for this movie after that little trip. But it was amazing!"

Julianne stars opposite newcomer Kenny Wormald in the highly anticipated remake of "Footloose." In theaters next year, the remake finds Julianne stepping into Lori Singer's cowboy boots as Ariel Moore, a small-town girl who takes a shine to newcomer Ren MacCormack (with Wormald taking on Kevin Bacon's iconic role). Ren soon discovers that the town prohibits loud music and dancing in response to a tragic accident, and must face off against Ariel's father, Reverend Shaw Moore (Dennis Quaid), to bring life back to the repressed community.

Julianne says she connects with her character because, growing up Mormon in Utah as a teenager, "I wanted attention. ... I definitely wasn't allowed to do this and this and this and this, and looking back at it now, obviously it was very appropriate and good, but at the time I wanted to rebel."

Julianne reveals that there's more dancing in the new movie compared to the original, and although viewers are used to seeing her do a lot of Latin and ballroom dances on "Dancing with the Stars," she promises the choreography in the new movie "is a little more street, so it's fun."

On brother Derek Hough's current partner Jennifer Grey on "Dancing with the Stars," she says, "Growing up watching 'Dirty Dancing,' she was a huge inspiration to me to be a dancer, to be an actress, to follow my dreams -- and to watch her ... and my brother dance, it was so emotional, very inspiring, and she just was beautiful and stunning; it was just really beautiful to watch."
