BILL O'REILLY ON JENNIFER ANISTON AND BRISTOL PALIN JOINING "DANCING WITH THE STARS"
September 14, 2010 (Los Angeles, CA) - THE INSIDER's CHRIS JACOBS caught up with Bill O'Reilly for a new interview to air tonight, September 14th.
The Fox News host and author of Pinheads and Patriots speaks about Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol joining "Dancing with the Stars." When asked if he thinks it was a good move, he says, "I don't know. If Bristol Palin wants to go and do the macarena or whatever they do on those programs, let her go do it!" On Sarah Palin's previous comments asking the media to leave her kids alone, he says, "You can't be asking the media to leave your kids alone if your kids are going to go on ‘Dancing with the Stars.' So, I'm sure they discussed it and Bristol's what, twenty now? If she wants to do it, she's an adult, let her do it."
On Sarah Palin's new reality show, "Sarah Palin's Alaska," he says, "I think they're paying her a good buck to root out the moose out there, or whatever she's doing. I haven't seen that show, [but] Alaska's a beautiful state. I think Sarah Palin is proud of her state. She's putting her state in a good light. I don't see a downside to that."
O'Reilly goes on to tell THE INSIDER he was surprised when his comments about Jennifer Aniston's film "The Switch" became national news. "I made one comment... that Ms. Aniston, who I actually like, shouldn't be putting out there to young people that it's ok, it's a good thing, it's a positive thing, for women to have babies without men. I don't think that's ok. But I also said right after that, I admire the millions of American women who raise their children on their own. And all of that was left out [of the media]."
His words for Aniston today? "You know Jennifer, look, nothing against you, [but] your initial statement promoting the movie was not wise." He adds, "I'm not expecting Jennifer Aniston to like me. It would be good if she watched the program once in a while."
