Los Angeles, CA - September 7, 2010 - ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT breaks news that Niecy Nash is engaged!

The former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant surprised friends and family when she and fiancé Jay Tucker announced their intent to marry at a small party over the weekend, but it was Niecy who got a surprise of her own when Jay pulled out her gorgeous engagement ring!

"I cannot believe that God has been this kind that he would gift me this man," Niecy said. Celebrity guests like her "Dancing" partner Louis van Amstel helped make the day extra special for the happy pair, who were introduced just one year ago.

Niecy tells ET, "Falling in love was the easy part, planning a wedding -- yikes!" The couple plans to marry this May. In addition to wedding planning, Niecy will also serve as ET's special "DWTS" correspondent when the show's 11th season begins September 20th.
