LAWRENCE TAYLOR'S WIFE LYNETTE: "[IF I CAUGHT LAWRENCE CHEATING, I WOULD] KICK HIS A**, PLAIN AND SIMPLE"
May 10, 2010 (Los Angeles, CA) -- THE INSIDER's CHRIS JACOBS sat down exclusively with Lawrence Taylor's wife Lynette, 33, over the weekend in Pembroke Pines, Florida for a new interview to air tonight, May 10th. Lynette continues to defend her husband, saying, "Let's just say for a moment that this was a prostitute that was soliciting, what was he supposed to do, check her ID? She said she was 19. And as far as to say he engaged in a sexual act, did they have intercourse? I'm telling you no. Caressing her earlobe could be a sexual act."
On the criminal complaint filed against her husband that allegedly states that the football star admitted to paying for sex, Lynette says, "I don't know why he would admit to something that he didn't do. I didn't hear him speak those words. He definitely didn't say those words to me and I don't believe that he said those words to anyone."
When asked what would happen if she found out Lawrence had been unfaithful to her, "I would kick his ass, plain and simple. He knows that very much." Lynette denies that the couple has an open relationship, saying, "He would have a serious problem if it came down to me finding out that he had really cheated with anyone. I wouldn't give a dang if she was 42, 68, whatever. That would be a serious problem."
However, if the allegations prove to be true, Lynette hints that she would forgive Lawrence, "Even if for some strange reason that he did do this, what about forgiveness? What about taking into consideration everything we've built and the person made a mistake? I don't have to beat him up about this. The world is doing that for me."
On why she is coming to her husband's defense, she says, "I don't have anything to prove to anyone on the other side of their TV thinking that I'm a fool for doing what I promised to God that I would do. My job is to protect what's mine and that is what I'm going to do. I made a promise to God and I'm not going to just bail because I don't know what happened."
