"BABY BOB," THE NEW COMEDY SERIES STARRING ADAM ARKIN, JOELY FISHER, ELLIOTT GOULD, HOLLAND TAYLOR AND MARISSA TAIT, PREMIERES MARCH 18 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK
BABY BOB, the new comedy about first-time parents who have an extraordinary six-month-old baby with a mind-boggling talent -- he talks like an adult, premieres Monday, March 18 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The series stars Adam Arkin, Joely Fisher, Elliott Gould, Holland Taylor and Marissa Tait; Ken Campbell provides the voice of Baby Bob. Rob Schiller directed the premiere episode from a script by the series' executive producer, Michael Saltzman.
Walter (Arkin), a public relations executive, is determined to keep Bob's talking a secret and out of the newspapers but Lizzy (Fisher) is itching to show off her amazing baby to anyone who will listen, especially when her newly divorced mother, Madeline (Taylor), always brags about her other grandchild's skills. Neither Madeline nor Walter's gruff father, Sam (Gould), is aware of Bob's speaking abilities, but Bob and his babysitter, Teala (Tait), carry on conversations that his parents don't know about. Soon mom and dad have their hands full trying to keep Baby Bob's talent under wraps.
In the premiere episode, "First Words," Lizzy is shocked when Bob opens his mouth and words actually come out. Lizzy immediately calls her husband, Walter, and demands that he come home and assure her that she is not going crazy. They decide it is best to keep Bob's amazing verbal ability a secret.
