Jamie Widdoes directed the episode from a script by David Bickel and Chris Downey. Gavin Macleod (""The Love Boat,"" ""Mary Tyler Moore"") guest stars as Uncle Stu.

Carrie fears that Doug is too inexperienced to run a business, and struggles to express her opinion without hurting Doug's feelings. Meanwhile, as Doug prepares to quit his job and pursue his lifelong dream, Stu''s son Gary expresses jealousy over the fact that his dad has decided to back Doug''s business venture rather than his own.
