ALAN JACKSON, ALEJANDRO SANZ WITH DESTINY'S CHILD AND TRAIN ADDED TO PERFORM ON "THE 44TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS," LIVE FROM STAPLES CENTER IN LOS ANGELES, FEB. 27 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK
Dixie Chicks, Kevin James, Kid Rock and Ray Romano Added to Present
Alan Jackson, Alejandro Sanz with Destiny's Child and Train have been added to perform on THE 44TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS, live from Staples Center in Los Angeles, Wednesday, Feb. 27 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET; delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. They join previously announced performers Dave Matthews Band, Alicia Keys, *NSYNC with Nelly, Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, Ralph Stanley, U2, and The Soggy Bottom Boys and Gillian Welch in a tribute to the O Brother, Where Art Thou? Soundtrack.
Train is nominated for four Grammy Awards: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Song of the Year. Latin Grammy winner Alejandro Sanz will perform with Best R&B Performance by a Duo Or Group, and Best R&B Album nominee Destiny's Child. Country artist Alan Jackson will perform his hit single, "Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning?"
Dixie Chicks, Kevin James, Kid Rock and Ray Romano have been added as presenters, joining the previously announced Gloria Estefan, Janet Jackson, Diana Krall, Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani. Jon Stewart was previously announced as host.
Dixie Chicks are four-time Grammy winners; Kid Rock is a past Grammy nominee, and Kevin James stars in the CBS series "The King of Queens." Ray Romano, star of the CBS series "Everybody Loves Raymond," is nominated for Best Spoken Comedy Album.
The Grammy Awards, considered to be the music industry's highest accolades, are presented by the Recording Academy.
