RECORD HIGH RATINGS KEEP "SURVIVOR" AMERICA'S NUMBER ONE PROGRAM FOR THE FOURTH CONSECUTIVE WEEK
"Survivor" Is Again Tops in Households, Viewers and All Key Adult Demographics
Will Mega's Eviction Leads "Big Brother" To Its Best Ratings Since Premiere Night
Series high ratings in households, viewers and key adult demographics led SURVIVOR to its fourth consecutive week as America's Number One program, while the eviction of the controversial Will Mega on Thursday gave BIG BROTHER its highest ratings since its premiere, during the week ending July 23, week 44 of the 1999-2000 televisions season.
For the week, CBS was second in households (6.3/12), -7% behind ABC (6.8/12) and +9% ahead of NBC (5.8/11) and +50% ahead of FOX (4.2/8). CBS was second in viewers (8.89m), behind ABC (10.00m) but ahead of both NBC (8.11m) and FOX (6.19m).
For the week, CBS finished first on Wednesday and Friday and was second on Monday, Saturday and Sunday.
Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +17% in both adults 25-54 and men 25-54, +6% in boomers, +14% in women 25-54 and +25% in adults 18-49.
CBS's top-rated broadcasts of the week included #1 SURVIVOR (15.9/29, 26.15m viewers), #6 60 MINUTES (R) (9.1/19, 12.00m), #12 BIG BROTHER THURSDAY (7.9/15, 11.32m), #15 (tie) EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND (R) (7.6/13, 11.44m), #17 TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL (R) (7.5/14, 9.72m), #21 BECKER (R) (7.2/12, 10.67m), #22 BIG BROTHER MONDAY (6.7/13, 9.54m) and #26 (tie) CBS WEDNESDAY MOVIE "The Last Don" Part 3 of 3 (R) (6.3/11, 8.27m).

SURVIVOR dominated its time period, hitting a record viewership of 26.15 million, while posting series highs in households (15.9/29), adults 18-49 (11.4/35), adults 18-34 (11.7/37) and adults 25-54 (12.0/34).
SURVIVOR grew from 8:30 to 9:00 PM by +10% in households (15.2/28 vs. 16.7/29), +13% in viewers (27.77m vs. 24.68m), +23% in adults 18-34 (12.9/39 vs. 10.5/36), +18% in adults 18-49 (10.5/34 vs. 12.4/36) and +16% in adults 25-54 (11.1/34 vs. 12.9/35).

From 8:00 to 9:00 PM, SURVIVOR outrated the other five networks combined by +1% in households (15.9/29 vs. 15.7/28), +36% in both adults 18-34 (11.7/37 vs. 8.6/28) and adults 25-54 (12.0/34 vs. 8.8/25) and +31% in adults 18-49 (11.4/35 vs. 8.7/27). SURVIVOR averaged 4.07m more viewers than the other five networks combined (26.15m vs. 22.07m, +18%).
SURVIVOR's median age was 40.4 years, its youngest showing to date.
Compared to the same night and time period last year, SURVIVOR was up +238% in households, +471% in adults 25-54, +363% in boomers, +400% in women 25-54, +627% in men 25-54, +571% in adults 18-49 and +875% in adults 18-34.

BIG BROTHER MONDAY (8:00-8:30 PM) was first in women 25-54 (5.1/15), adults 18-49 (3.9/13) and adults 18-34 (4.1/15), second in households (6.7/13, 9.54m viewers), adults 25-54 (4.0/13), boomers (3.7/11) and men 25-54 (3.0/10). BIG BROTHER MONDAY posted terrific growth from last week in adults 18-34, +14%, despite new programming on FOX, and was the top-rated program Monday night in adults 18-34.
Compared to the same night last year, CBS was up +2% in households, +8% in adults 25-54, +19% in women 25-54, +26% in adults 18-49, +71% in adults 18-34 and even in men 25-54.
BIG BROTHER TUESDAY (8:00-8:30 PM) was second in households (5.6/10, 8.39m viewers), adults 18-49 (3.4/12) and adults 18-34 (3.5/13) and tied for second in adults 25-54 (3.5/11, with NBC) and men 25-54 (2.8/10, with FOX). Compared to the same night last year, BIG BROTHER TUESDAY was up +3% in adults 25-54, +16% in women 25-54, +36% in adults 18-49 and +75% in adults 18-34.
BIG BROTHER THURSDAY (8:00-9:00 PM), which saw Will Mega become the first house guest banished, was first in households (7.9/15, 11.32m viewers) with a +36% advantage over NBC's "Friends"/ "3rd Rock from the Sun" (5.8/11, 7.91m viewers). CBS was first in adults 25-54 (4.8/16), boomers (4.6/15), women 25-54 (5.8/18), men 25-54 (3.7/14), adults 18-49 (4.6/16) and adults 18-34 (4.4/16).
This is CBS's best performance in this time period with a regularly scheduled program in adults 25-54 since 11/13/97, in adults 18-49 since 2/9/95 and in adults 18-34 since 4/7/94. This is BIG BROTHER's best performance on any night in adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since the series' Wednesday premiere on July 5.

Compared to the 1999-2000 television season time period delivery, BIG BROTHER improved CBS's performance in adults 18-34 by +238%, adults 18-49 by +100% and adults 25-54 by +50%. Will's final night in the house was up +5% in households (from 7.5/14) +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.6/15), +10% in adults 18-49 (from 4.2/15) and +16% in adults 18-34 (from 3.8/14) from last Thursday's broadcast.
Compared to the same night last year, BIG BROTHER was up +41% in households, +153% in adults 25-54, +84% in boomers, +132% in women 25-54, +185% in men 25-54, +207 in adults 18-49 and +450% in adults 18-34.
BIG BROTHER FRIDAY (8:00-8:30 PM) won its time period in households and viewers (5.5/12, 7.68m viewers), adults 25-54 (3.0/12), boomers (2.9/11), women 25-54 (3.9/14), adults 18-49 (2.9/12)and adults 18-34 (3.1/14). This is the third consecutive week BIG BROTHER FRIDAY won its time period in households, viewers, adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
Compared to the same night last year, CBS was up +8% in households, +43% in adults 25-54, +26% in boomers, +50% in women 25-54, +31% in men 25-54, +71% in adults 18-49 and +138% in adults 18-34.
BIG BROTHER SATURDAY (8:00-9:00 PM) (4.0/9, 5.34m) was second in adults 18-34 (1.6/8). Compared to the same night last year, BIG BROTHER was up +18% in adults 25-54, +28% in women 25-54, +13% in men 25-54, +58% in adults 18-49 and +167% in adults 18-34. Compared to the 1999-2000 time period delivery, CBS was up +63% in adults 18-34 (from a 1.9/8), +26% in adults 18-49 (from a 2.3/8) and +15% in adults 25-54 (2.6/8).

EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND (R) (9:00-9:30pm) was first in households (7.6/13, 11.44m viewers), adults 25-54 (4.8/13), boomers (5.3/13), women 25-54 (5.5/14) and adults 18-49 (4.1/12) and tied for first in men 25-54 (4.2/12, with NBC). RAYMOND was Monday's top-rated program in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
